1. National accounting firm to trial 9-day fortnight. One of Australia’s largest accounting firms, Grant Thornton, will trial a nine-day fortnight from next March without any cuts to staff pay in a “counterintuitive” bid to respond to skill shortages. Read more.
2. How to read between the lines of a position description. Candidates can improve their chances of success when applying for new roles by learning to “read between the lines” of a PD to gain insights into the nature of a role and its scope. Read more.
